Spring time offshore (deep sea) and inshore (back country) fishing report for Tybee Island GA.

A few big sheepshead are still hanging around on the wrecks but the nice black sea bass have moved in with a vengeance. These delicious fish are super aggressive and will eat anything you put in front of them. If you book an offshore (deep sea fishing)trip to chase these guys be ready to reel…..a lot. Seeing some blue fish and Spanish mackerel around as well. Everything should keep heating up through June. We usually start seeing cobia the week of mothers day so stay tuned.

On the inshore (back country) fishing side of things the whiting are in full swing along with the bonnet head and sand sharks. The reds are starting to pick up here and there but still no sign of a trout bite. Our shrimp is at a ten year low which I think has a huge affect on the inshore fish bite.

Until next time, ya’ll be safe.
